Fifth generation New Castle, CO, resident Jeff Simonson feels a commitment to the communities he supports down through the bottom of his cowboy boots. Given he’s been with SGM since Day 1, you’d be hard-pressed to find a Western Slope community Jeff hasn’t provided engineering services for. When asked which client he had worked for the longest, Jeff chuckled and said, “Well, what started out as a six-month project for the City of Rifle turned into 25 years of providing infrastructure engineering services to the City.” He continued to add, “It’s great to look back on the work SGM has performed for long-term clients, knowing we had a hand in helping them grow and meet the needs of their citizens. We had an opportunity to work with New Castle when it was a community of 400, and are blessed to continue working with them as they approach a population of 5,000!”
Jeff finds that what sets SGM apart is its commitment to communities, through sound engineering support as well as service on local boards and commissions, volunteer opportunities such as coaching youth sports, and community service projects. He is the true embodiment of SGM’s dual mission, and a key part of SGM’s success.
