This is our final edition of SGM’s 30 for 30 campaign. It’s been a lot of fun. We’d like to thank you readers out there – our community of clients, business partners, friends, and family. You are the folks for whom we work hard every day and who helped make SGM’s first 30 years as successful and rewarding as they were.
The previous 29 editions of 30-for-30 speak loudly and clearly to other key ingredients to SGM’s success:
- Diversity. Diversity of technical services. Diversity of markets. Diversity of experience. Diversity of talents and personalities. Geographic diversity. This exceptional diversity allows us to deliver what clients need – where and when they need it.
- People and Culture. At SGM, our people are the foundation of our success. We support our team members to pursue their passions. You can see there is a wide array of those! We encourage folks to have fun and be active. We challenge ourselves to work hard, create custom solutions, produce quality work and be client-focused. We celebrate successes.
- Community. We exist to help create and serve strong communities, from Cortez to Trinidad and from Granby to Rangely and everywhere in between. We encourage SGMers to get involved. We support a wide array of local causes. We seek out and create meaningful service projects that allow us to play contractor once in a while and build improvements that make a difference.
- Relationships. Long-term client relationships are what got us to where we are now. It all started with Mid-Valley Metropolitan District, 30 years ago. Building trust through listening and working tirelessly to make our clients successful will propel us through the next 30 years of business and beyond.
We see a very bright future ahead for Western Colorado and SGM. We’ll strive to lead with technology, our ideas, our values and our people. We will continue to add to our diversity to increase our value to clients. We’ll deepen our culture and harness its strength to further support our local communities. We look forward to working with you.
Thank you.
Warren Swanson, SGM President
ps–Thanks to Jenn Flentge, our Marketing Director extraordinaire, for producing such a well-done series. Her investment of time, energy and creativity made all the difference. She’s already looking forward to 40 for 40!
