As a complement to SGM’s civil engineering practice, Ken Wilson began SGM’s Survey department in 1986. 
With 30 years of experience surveying the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys, and many other areas of Western Colorado, SGM has unmatched local knowledge and experience. When asked what he thinks differentiates SGM’s surveying services, Survey Team Manager Bob Brandeberry shares, “SGM’s survey department is committed to quality and doing what’s right for our client. With six professionally licensed surveyors on staff, our team is able to respond rapidly to produce high-quality, accurate land survey deliverables. Everything from residential real estate transaction surveys to large existing conditions mapping and construction staking projects, our team can deliver.”
SGM’s Survey department has been around long enough to have 2nd generation surveyors on staff. Josh Wilson continues the legacy of providing quality surveys to new and long-term clients alike, much like his father, Ken, did before him. “It is an honor to walk in my dad’s career footsteps, connecting with the same clients, and hearing how his integrity and honesty remain in their minds long after he has retired,” says Josh. “It is something that has shaped my view of the profession, and a legacy I take pride in, keeping in mind that small interactions can have large impacts on the future.”
