Project Details
Name: Manhattan Hotel – Salida
Client: Steven James Riden Architecture
Service Area: Salida, CO
Date: 2019

The Manhattan Hotel (aka Salida Boathouse) consisted of both a new addition and remodel of a historical building. The final layout includes a retail core and shell space, an ice cream shop, restaurant upgrades, hotel rooms, and a business suite. SGM provided both design and construction administration services for MEP, structural, and ancillary civil infrastructure items. The historic structure held plenty of challenges, such as tight ceiling clearances in the existing structure, antiquated sewer routing and problematic invert elevations, and a need to minimize existing tenant disruptions during construction. Staff from our Salida office were readily available to determine existing conditions throughout the design, as well as provide responsive “boots on the ground” support during the construction phase.
