Steve Westhoff Scholarship

Steve Westhoff
Steve Westhoff

In September 2001, SGM was saddened by the death of Steve Westhoff, a field engineer, and an SGM employee of two years. Steve’s integrity, humor, and vast technical knowledge inspired SGM and many clients. In 2002, SGM renamed its scholarship in honor of Steve and the qualities he embodied as a person and as an engineer.

The Steve Westhoff Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors planning to attend a college/university to pursue studies in civil engineering (such as structural, traffic/transportation, water, wastewater, and environmental engineering), mechanical, electrical engineering, or surveying. The scholarship is also open to students who have graduated from high schools in our branch office locations (click here for the application) or are currently attending a college/university and pursuing studies in the above disciplines.

The 2024 scholarship is currently closed, stay tuned for the 2025 opening.
